promptContainer.teacherNotes

This activity focuses on reading fluency and comprehension for second graders. The passage is short and simple to let students practice reading aloud and to allow teachers to assess phrasing, accuracy, and expression. Use the Reading, Fluency, Question recording to listen for smooth reading, correct phrasing, and correct word recognition. For class use, you can have students record individually or in small groups. No special materials are required, but you may want a classroom clock to show examples when discussing time.
