For the Think About It page, high-quality student responses name a specific thing learned (for example, “The dog would not let the other animals eat.”) and give a clear question (for example, “Why did the dog stay in the manger?”). For the Show It prompt, strong responses show or draw a clear favorite part and explain why it matters to the story (two short statements or a short recorded explanation).
