Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
This activity helps first graders practice listening comprehension and identifying story elements using a short fable. Use the read-aloud video first. Then guide students through the Think About It and Solve It pages. For group work, students can discuss answers before submitting. Prepare a simple chart (Characters, Setting, Problem, Solution, Moral) to display during discussion. For open-ended responses: a high-quality answer on the Think About It page names one clear thing learned (for example, a character or the moral) and asks a specific question about the story. For the Show It task, a strong student response shows the student drawing or describing the wolf and sheep or explaining the lesson in their own words. Use simple correct/incorrect grading: mark responses that clearly identify a main detail or question as correct; mark responses that are off-topic or missing as incorrect.
