Student Instructions
Follow the activity for each slide to complete the following:
1. Find It: Find the number on the number grid and circle it with the 
. Is the number odd or even
2. More and Less: Use the and write the number of the day in the yellow box. Use the 
tool and move the mini frame onto the number grid. Use the to fill out the large grid with 1 more, 1 less, 10 less, and 10 more.
3. Use the to write the number of the day in the yellow box, then write how many hundreds, tens, and ones in the number
4. Tally It: Use the to write the number of the day in the yellow box, then use the to drag up tally marks to count by 5's then 1's to show the number of the day
5. Frame It: Use the to write the number of the day in the yellow box, then use the to drag up 10 frames to count by 10's then by 1's to show the number of the day
6. Write It: Use the to write the number of the day in the yellow box, then write the number words for the number of the day on the lines
7. Expand it: It: Use the to write the number of the day in the yellow box, then write how many hundreds. tens, and ones you need to add together to make the number of the day.
8: Bond It. Use the to make a number bond for the number your teacher has placed in the yellow circle.
9. Subatize. Look at the picture your teacher is showing you and write the number for the picture

This activity is to reinforce number sense using the number of days in school. Number sense is needed in all areas of mathematics. There is not 1 specific standard to apply to this activity. Each day the teacher will need to write the number of the day on the first slide before sending the activity to the students. The activity uses the number for the days in school to: use a number grid, knowing 1 and 10 more and less, base 10 blocks for place value in a number, tally marks to represent a number (counting by 5's), 10 frames to represent a number (count by 10's), writing numbers numerically and with words. expanded notation, number bonds, subatizing, counting to 120, counting by 2's, 5"s, and 10's, and ordinal numbers.
