Teachers, save “Fractions bigger than 1” to assign it to your class.

Yesterday, we looked at improper fractions (where the numerator, the top number, is bigger than the denominator, the bottom number). We drew these fractions to see what they looked like. When all of the shape is shaded, we call this a 'whole', anything left over is called the part. Have a look at the example I've attached and then have a go at the activities. Mr B
