Next week, I would like you to take on the following chess challenge, Your goal is teach someone from home how to play chess; it can be a sibling, parent, guardian, grandparent, friend, etc. For this you will need to have a chessboard. If you don’t already own a chessboard, you can simple make one. Look at some of the examples attached. Use them to inspire your own DIY chessboard or create your own chessboard and pieces. Remember a chessboard is made up of 64 squares (8 squares X 8 squares). Each player has 16 pieces; - 8 Pawns - 2 Rooks - 2 Knights - 2 Bishops - 1 Queen - 1 King Upload a picture of your DIY chessboard to the template. From next week, I will assign weekly chess mini-games. Use these to teach someone at home about chess. These mini-games are suitable for any chess novice or grandmaster. For beginners, it will help you understand how the pieces move and capture in chess. For any grandmaster, these mini-games are fun chess alternatives.
