Teacher Notes (not visible to students)
This activity provides visual aids for teaching irregular sight words, called "heart" words, using symbols to highlight parts of the words. The red hearts and blue squares help students focus on specific letters or sounds that may not follow regular phonics rules. Teachers can use these cards for flashcard practice or as part of a phonics lesson. Encourage students to say the words aloud and notice the highlighted parts to improve word recognition.
